Just because you don't live near a bakery doesn't mean you have to go without a cheesecake. Oreos and cheesecake, two of my favourite words in the english dictionary, and when you put them together you get the single most deliciously decadent dessert. This easy no bake oreo cheesecake is smooth and creamy, the perfect recipe to make your very own delicious oreo cheesecake with just a few ingredients. The filling includes a high-quality cream cheese, powdered sugar, real whipped cream and Oreo cookies. The filling is whipped to creamy perfection and put to freeze just until it has got the perfect texture, firm enough to slice. The crust is made of a mixture of crushed oreo cookies and melted better, mixed together till they get a wet sand like structure. This easy dessert is like heaven served on a plate, and is perfect for your next celebration, dinner party or for no reason at all. Because the no bake Oreo-cheesecake is so good that you don't need another reason to enjoy it!

A few tips to follow to perfect your recipe:

Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature, if it's chilled it'll be just about impossible to work with. You should use real whipping cream and not all purpose cream. Use the vanilla oreo cookies but if you're a fan of the chocolate oreo cookies you can use them as well. I find it best to refrigerate the cake overnight however you can get away with a few hours too. Putting it in the freezer will give the cake an ice-cream like texture. The recipe is enough to fill a 5-inch spring form pan.

NO-BAKE OREO CHEESECAKE

Serves: 3-4 servings.

Prep Time: 30 mins.

Total Time: 30 mins.

INGREDIENTS

  1. 14-16 Vanilla Oreo Cookies

  2. 2 tbsp melted butter

  3. 100 gms of cream cheese at room temperature

  4. 3 tbsp of confectioner's sugar

  5. 1/4th tbsp of vanilla extract

  6. 250 ml of whipping cream, chilled.

INSTRUCTIONS

1) Add 8 oreo cookies into a mixing bowl, break them up so they resemble dry crumbly sand. Add in 2 tbsp of melted butter. Mix until it forms a wet sand like structure. Add it to the bottom of a spring form pan and pack it down gently using a spatula.

2) Add the whipping cream into a mixing bowl. Using a whisk or electric mixer, beat it until it doubles in volume and peaks form. This should take about 3-5 minutes. Set it aside in the fridge to cool it down before using it.

3) Put cream cheese in another mixing bowl and add confectioner's sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until it's well combined and creamy. Add the whipped cream to the cream cheese mixture and beat it together.

4) Break up the remaining oreo cookies into tiny bits and fold them into the mixture.

5) Add cream cheese mixture into the spring form pan so it comes to the top. Smooth it out with a spatula and top it with bits of Oreo-cookies.

6) Place it in the fridge and chill until it's set. This should take 5-6 hours but keeping it overnight is preferable. You can also set it aside in the freezer to have an ice-cream consistency.
